FAQs

How Old Do you need to be to play?

Our Victorian League is an open, adults competition catering for those aged 16 and over. We are working to develop youth and kidditch programs in 2024 and beyond, so watch this space for more information!

How does the snitch work?

The golden snitch is actually a person in muggle quidditch. Released towards the end of the game, the snitch is essentially an addition to the referee team. They wear bright yellow shorts, with a yellow sock containing a tennis ball attached at the end. The seekers must attempt to remove this from the back of the snitch’s shorts.

What are your league fees?

Our league fees can be found here. Players are also required to purchase a membership to Quadball Australia to cover their insurance for the season. Those details can be found here.

When is Quadball played?

Quadball is played during the winter months (April - September) . For the main victorian league every 3-4 weeks the teams will gather together on a sunday and play several games each against one another. Additionally, there are several other tournments which occur, including Fantasy (usually feb-march) and mudbash (July).

I want to play but don’t have a team, where can I find one?

Head over to our club’s page to browse through our current list of clubs in Victoria. If you would like to start your own club and enter our competition you are welcome too! Please get in contact to register your team. Due to the once-monthly nature of our 2024 fixture, we will be accepting new teams during the season.

I want to give it a try! is there any particular equipment I need to bring?

No special equipment is required however, in the winter months the ground can get slippery so it can be helpful to wear a pair of footy boots if you have them.
