Victorian Quidditch Association AGM 2017


2017 is here, and with the new year comes a new VQA AGM!
The AGM will be held in the Blue Room, at Melbourne Multicultural Hub, Melbourne CBD, on the 11th of March from 10am – 1pm.

The AGM is an opportunity to reflect on the past year and plan for the next year. Specifically it will feature:
-Reports from the 2016 Committee
-Review of the 2016 Financial Statements
-Elections for the 2017 Committee
-General Discussion & Planning

All constitutional positions will be up for election at the AGM. To run for a position, you must be a general member of the association. To run for a position, you may either attend the meeting and be nominated/nominate yourself for your desired position, or send in a nomination in absentia if you will not be attending the AGM. If you wish to run for election in absentia, you must send notice of this to the VQA with your intention to run as well as a small speech to be read on your behalf to before the 4th of March.

Constitutional Amendments
All constitutional amendments must be emailed to by the 4th of March. Any constitutional amendments must include the proposed wording changed to the constitution, not merely just ideas about what the change within the constitution.
Any constitutional amendments sent to the VQA after the 4th of March will not be considered at this AGM.

Proxy Voting
Proxies must be emailed to by 10am on the 10th of March. A member may appoint another member as his or her proxy to vote and speak on his or her behalf at a general meeting. A member may hold at most one proxy vote at a time. More details about proxies may be found in the constitution.

All registered members of the Victorian Quidditch Association are encouraged to attend and have a say in the future of the sport, the organisation, and to vote (or run) for the committee admin positions.
