After our phenomenal weekend at Supanova Melbourne, the Victorian Quidditch Association is happy to announce we’ll be running a Come and Try Quidditch Day on Sunday April 27 at 10am in Fawkner Park, South Yarra.

Everyone is welcome (and encouraged) to come down and learn the rules, have a go and join a team! If you’re interested in finding out more, click here. To RSVP to the event, click here.

The VQA will cover the basic positions, rules, balls and safe tackling as well as introducing you to the six teams we currently have in our Victoria Cup League. On the day, there will be three teams recruiting –

The Melbourne Manticores
The Northern Direwolves
The South Melbourne Centaurs – a brand new team being put together for the 2014/2015 Victoria Cup season.

If you can’t come along to the Come and Try Quidditch Day, no worries! Our next game of the Victoria Cup is Sunday, April 20th then our first round of finals is Sunday, May 4th. The semi finals take place on Sunday, May 18th and the eagerly anticipated Grand Final will be held on Sunday, June 1st. After each match is a Come and Try game, where anyone can jump in and have a go.
